Myofascial release, also known as connective tissue massage, connective tissue release, fascia massage or fascial release, works on the myofascia, the layer of connective tissue (fascia) that surrounds and supports the muscles, to improve circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage and refine the body's natural contours. At Amilda, this is offered as our Sculpting Massage, a firm, dynamic treatment inspired by Brazilian bodywork techniques that uses these connective tissue release methods to sculpt, tone and contour the body, targeting areas such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, waist and arms. It's a results-oriented treatment rather than a relaxation massage, and most guests notice a visible difference from the first session. For the face, the same principles are used in our Face Massage (CTR), which lifts, de-puffs and eases jaw tension.
