Discover the power of injectables and enhance your beauty with
Drs Madeleine Bos

We are proud to announce our collaboration with Drs Madeleine Bos, an experienced general practitioner and specialist in aesthetic medicine. Drs Bos combines her medical expertise with a passion for beauty, offering injectables such as Botulinum Toxin to enhance your natural appearance safely and professionally.

“Restore a fresh, youthful look effortlessly because confidence starts with feeling great in your skin.”
What is Botox and what is it used for?

Botox is a well-known brand of botulinum toxin, a safe and effective injectable treatment that temporarily reduces muscle activity to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

Also referred to as muscle relaxants or neuromodulators, these non-surgical treatments work by relaxing the facial muscles that cause expression lines. This results in a smoother, more refreshed appearance while preserving natural facial expressions.

By blocking nerve signals to specific muscles, the treatment not only softens existing wrinkles but also helps prevent new ones from forming, offering a subtle, youthful look.

In the Netherlands, there are three well-known A-brands:

Botox (by Allergan)
Azzalure/Dysport
Bocouture
Dysport

Drs. Bos uses Dysport, a trusted form of Botulinum Toxin, renowned for its precision and long-lasting results.

  • Quick Results: Dysport works faster than other treatments, with noticeable improvements often visible within 2-3 days.
  • Natural-Looking Enhancement: It delivers subtle, smooth results that soften lines and wrinkles without freezing your facial expressions, keeping your look fresh and natural.

  • Long-Lasting Effects: Typically lasts for 3-4 months, giving you lasting results before your next treatment.

  • Precision and Spread: It is highly effective for larger areas like the forehead, as it spreads evenly for a more even result.

  • Minimal Downtime: The treatment is quick, with little to no downtime, so you can get back to your daily activities almost immediately.

BeforeBeforeAfter
Complimentary Consultation For New Guests

Are you curious but have questions or doubts about our injectables? Drs Bos offers a free consultation for new guests. During this no-obligation appointment, she will discuss your wishes, explain everything calmly, and provide professional advice. The consultation is purely informative, and there is no obligation to book a treatment afterwards.

How does the treatment work?

During your consultation, Drs. Bos will assess how many zones are needed to achieve your desired results. This varies based on factors such as:

  • Your skin type
  • The strength of your muscles
  • The results you’re looking for

The treatment typically takes 15-30 minutes and is virtually painless, thanks to the use of fine needles and advanced techniques.

Dysport is effective not only for beauty treatments but also for medical conditions. It is ideal for:

  • Reducing frown lines
  • Softening forehead wrinkles
  • Treating crow’s feet around the eyes
  • Correcting a gummy smile
  • Smoothing nose wrinkles

Additionally, it can help with:

  • Relieving chronic migraines
  • Reducing excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

How long do the results last?

The first results become visible within 2 to 14 days after treatment. The effect typically lasts 3 to 4 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and the treated areas.

Free Follow-Up Treatment

After your initial Botulinum Toxin injectable treatment, we offer a complimentary follow-up session to assess your results and, if needed, make subtle refinements to ensure the most natural and balanced outcome.

When to schedule?

  • Follow-up can only be booked after 2 weeks to allow the full effect to take place.
  • It must be scheduled within 4 weeks of your initial treatment.

We believe in natural, balanced results and this free session ensures you achieve the best outcome.

1. Avoid blood-thinning medications:
For at least 24 hours before your treatment, avoid taking blood-thinning medications or supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or vitamin E. These can increase the risk of bruising after the injections.
If you’re unsure whether a medication or supplement should be avoided, consult your practitioner beforehand.

2. Stay hydrated:
Make sure you are well-hydrated before your appointment. Drinking enough water can help with the healing process.

3. Avoid alcohol and caffeine:
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. Alcohol can thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising or swelling.

4. Arrive With Clean Skin:
It’s ideal to arrive with no makeup or skincare products on your face, especially in the areas to be treated. Clean, makeup-free skin helps ensure that the Botulinum Toxin is injected precisely where it needs to be. If you forget, your practitioner can remove any makeup for you before the treatment.

5. Prepare for a Quick Appointment:
Botulinum Toxin injections usually take about 15-30 minutes. It’s a quick procedure, so there’s no need to block out a lot of time.

6. Discuss Your Medical History:
Inform your provider about any allergies, medical conditions, or medications you are taking, especially muscle relaxants or blood thinners. This ensures that Botulinum Toxin injectables are safe and suitable for you, minimizing potential risks and optimizing results.

To ensure the best results and minimize any potential side effects, follow these post-care guidelines after your Botulinum Toxin injectable treatment:

First 24 hours:

  1. Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area – Prevents the product from migrating to unintended areas.
  2. Stay upright for at least 4 hours – Avoid lying down or bending over to allow the product to settle properly.
  3. Avoid strenuous activities – Skip intense exercise, sauna visits, or excessive sweating to prevent increased circulation that may interfere with the treatment’s effectiveness.
  4. Avoid tight-fitting headwear – If you received injections on the forehead, avoid hats or headbands that put pressure on the area.
  5. Limit alcohol and blood-thinning medications – To reduce bruising, avoid excessive alcohol and, if possible, consult your provider about pausing blood-thinning medications before and after treatment.

First 7-14 days:

  1. Facials: Wait at least 7 days for a gentle facial and 14 days for facials involving massage, deep cleansing, or active ingredients (e.g., chemical peels, microdermabrasion).
  2. Face Massage: Avoid any face massage for at least 14 days to prevent unintended product migration.

  3. Be patient: Full results develop over a few days. Avoid additional treatments until your provider assesses your results at your follow-up appointment.

faqs

The full effects of the treatment develop within 2 to 14 days, depending on how your body responds.

Since Botox is gradually broken down by the body, its effects are temporary. Most people notice visible results lasting between 3 and 4 months, after which muscle activity gradually returns.

  • Average duration: 3 to 4 months
  • Longer-lasting effect with regular treatments
  • Over time, muscles contract less strongly, extending the effect

Botulinum Toxin injectables require minimal downtime, and most guests can resume daily activities immediately. However, some mild and temporary side effects may occur, including:

  • Slight redness or swelling at the injection sites, typically fading within a few hours.
  • Mild bruising, which can be minimized by following aftercare guidelines.
  • Temporary tenderness or tightness, usually resolving within a few days.
  • Occasionally, mild headaches or flu-like symptoms, which are rare and short-lived.

When performed by an experienced medical professional like Drs. Madeleine Bos, Botulinum Toxin is a safe and well-tolerated treatment. If you experience any unexpected reactions or have concerns about your results, Drs. Bos is available to assist you.

Most people experience minimal discomfort during a Botulinum Toxin injection treatment. The procedure involves using a fine needle to inject the product into the targeted muscles. Some individuals may feel a slight pinch or stinging sensation, but it is generally well-tolerated.

It’s generally preferred not to wear makeup before your Botulinum Toxin treatment. This is because makeup can interfere with the procedure or increase the risk of irritation during the treatment.

However, if you do have makeup on, don’t worry! We can remove it for you from the areas to be treated. Just let us know, and we’ll take care of it to ensure the best possible results for your treatment.

It’s always a good idea to arrive with clean skin, but we’re happy to assist you if needed!

Yes, you can, but it’s important to follow a few guidelines to ensure optimal results:

  1. Wait a Few Hours: It is recommended to wait at least 4 hours before applying makeup. This allows the Botulinum Toxin to settle properly into the targeted muscles and reduces the risk of accidentally rubbing or massaging the treated areas, which could affect the results.

  2. Be Gentle: When applying makeup, avoid massaging or applying pressure to the treated areas. Instead, gently apply makeup using soft strokes. Avoid rubbing or pulling at the skin, especially in areas where Botulinum Toxin was injected.

  3. Avoid Certain Products: It’s a good idea to avoid using exfoliating or irritating products (like retinol or acids) on the day of your treatment. Stick to mild, soothing products for the first 24 hours.

  4. Avoid Strong Facial Movements: Try to avoid making exaggerated facial expressions, such as frowning, squinting, or raising your eyebrows too much when applying makeup. These movements could interfere with it’s effects.

  5. Follow Aftercare Instructions: Always follow the aftercare advice provided by your practitioner, as they may have specific recommendations tailored to your treatment.

Botulinum Toxin injections are generally safe for most individuals. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with certain neuromuscular disorders, and those with allergies to the ingredients in the product should avoid Botox injections. It is important to consult with our Doctor to determine if you are a suitable candidate.

If you stop Botox treatments, the transition is gradual and natural. Over time, your muscles will slowly regain their normal function, but the benefits of previous treatments may still be noticeable.

Here’s what to expect:
Gradual Reduction in Effect – The smoothing effect of Botox fades over 3 to 6 months.
Muscle Activity Returns – Facial muscles gradually become more active again.
Wrinkles Return Slowly – Fine lines and wrinkles may reappear, but often less pronounced than before treatment.
Possible Habit Changes – You may have ‘unlearned’ certain facial expressions that contribute to wrinkle formation.
Easier Maintenance if Restarting – If you resume treatments, you may need less Botox than before.

Prevents Deeper Wrinkles – Regular use can slow down wrinkle formation.
Quick & Non-Surgical – A session takes about 10–20 minutes with no major downtime.
Natural-Looking Results – When done correctly, you’ll look refreshed, not frozen.
Medical Benefits – Can help with migraines, jaw tension, and excessive sweating.

Cons

Not Permanent – Lasts 3–6 months; needs repeat treatments.
Mild Side Effects – Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising may occur.
Can Look Overdone – Too much Botox can lead to a stiff or unnatural appearance.
Doesn’t Work for Deep Wrinkles – Works best on expression lines, not sagging skin.
Not for Everyone – Not suitable for those pregnant, breastfeeding, or with certain health conditions.

We prioritize safety and tailored treatments. If it is your first time receiving Botox, a consultation with Drs. Bos is required before treatment. During this consultation, she will assess your needs and recommend the best approach for natural and effective results.

First time?
A consultation is mandatory before your first Botox treatment. If desired, treatment can be performed immediately after the consultation.

Repeat treatment?
If you have had Botox before with us, you can proceed directly with the treatment without an additional consultation.

A consultation ensures a safe, personalized experience and optimal, natural-looking results.
